ABOUT US SUPPORTING WOOD COUNTY K9s

Our mission is to provide supportive services to law enforcement, public protection and public safety through donations received from private citizens, local businesses, and individual donor bequests to enhance the quality of life in Central Wisconsin.

Originally, the Wood County K-9 Fund was established to meet the specific need of replacing the soon to retire service dogs.  The need posed by this reality led to the development of a 501(c)(3) entity, now known as the Acacia Foundation.   By forming the non-profit foundation, we can work together to support all the needs of the Wood County Sheriff’s Department K9 program and at the same time allow for donations to this effort on a tax-exempt basis.   This means every dollar can go further to help keep our community protected.

DONATE HOW CAN YOU HELP

The opportunity to provide a tax deductible gift to the Acacia Foundation offers several benefits. First is the satisfaction that one gets from knowing that they are contributing to a worth-while philanthropy. Second, such a gift offers the donor the knowledge that they have created a personal legacy. Finally, such a gift offers the donor current and possible future tax savings.
